Andrea is our maker. She unleashed the rebellious energy that is Brand Spanking after digging into the wrong hillside somewhere in Eastern Hungary. You laugh, but many men simply melted beneath the wave of its unbridled power.

Fine, that's Raiders of the Lost Ark, but Andrea was born in Hungary and her family did escape the Revolution under the cover of darkness. She even returned to the country for archaeological pursuits. So there.

And all of that is but a smidge of what makes Andrea a biographer's holiday. It's rare that you meet a Fulbright Scholar with a doctorate in Anthropology and Archaeology who goes on to start an advertising agency. And then, when 9/11 happens and the whole industry is in flux, she rolls out a whole new approach to the genre: branding and advertising for companies behind the pack and willing to break some rules.

And when the time comes to put a face on this movement? Andrea selects a six-foot-tall, leather-clad dominatrix with a freaking bullwhip.

And oh, by the way, "Do a Little Brand Spanking."

Sure enough, some folks flipped. Jumped ship. And our website got a lot of hits from people who weren't looking for marketing. But as time went on, it became apparent that Fitting Group's orange-tinted glasses were just what a whole lot of companies needed. A Challenger Brand ourselves, Andrea pushes us to take chances, choose bold over billable and get better with every client, every challenge.

Awards and accolades, there have been many. She sits on boards and steering committees, serves as director and chairman and mentor all over town. For-profit, nonprofit, venture and start-up.

But what really puts a shine to Andrea's leather each morning is knowing that there's work waiting — companies in need. So she grabs her whip, steps out into the dawn and embraces destiny with a whisper:

"I am become Brand Spanking, creator of Brands."
