Carnegie Mellon SCS Alumni Magazine

They're all around us. They're doing things we don't understand. They look human, but maybe they're really not. They are geeks. Not your garden variety, but CMU graduate geeks, and they're building — uh-huh — robots!

Fitting Group was honored to be chosen to design their first ever, alumni magazine, LINK. To familiarize the agency, CMU sent one of their experiments over for lunch. The robot had lox and bagels, but turned down the petit fours. Will power. After some witty repartee, the bot briefed us.

The school was after a modern but not-too-techy look. The magazine was, after all, about people. People who make crazy robots but still, people.

And our more modest geeks, actually just nerds, pulled it off. LINK has a clean but fun feel to it. The design doesn't overpower. It simply presents the material in a consistent and effective manner — material the likes of which no normal human being could possibly hope to understand.
